Oil production

VESTAMID® L is the first polyamide 12 to receive Lloyd’s Register approval for production of flexible risers in offshore crude oil production. These can be laid in a single piece down to the borehole at an underwater depth of 2,000 meters.more

Current measures, 05-15-2012

Initial material and equipment orders to repair the CDT plant have been placed and delivery confirmations received. Key functions within the construction team have been doubled staffed to enable work to be performed in multiple shifts. The authorities have granted a special permit for work on Sundays and public holidays.

In the present state of knowledge, the CDT plant is expected to be operational again in the fourth quarter of 2012. In the mean time we will provide the biobased polymer VESTAMID® Terra as a subsitute for many applications.
